“Comrades in Arms” Horses and Military Veterans Harnessing Awareness and Creating Positive Change
EAL Workshops for Honorably Discharged/Retired Military Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, First Responders are welcome!
Comrades in Arms, meaning those that have worked for the same cause or purpose and shared the same difficulties and dangers are monthly equine assisted and learning (EAL), experiential workshops offered to military veterans of any age, who have served in any branch of the military! These 1.5 hour workshops are offered on designated Saturday’s throughout the year (see schedule below for specific dates) and offered at NO COST thanks to donors of our veterans scholarship program! Registration is required as seating is limited to 10 for each session.
Join other military veterans for this hands on workshop and come meet our healing horses. Facilitated by our licensed and credentialed treatment team, learn how to care for them through grooming and mindfulness techniques and other on the ground team building exercises. Gain knowledge on how they communicate and survive in the wild and within their herd. Experience powerful lessons through experiential learning activities. The simple act of being in the presence of a horse can calm our minds, relieve stress & anxiety, help lower blood pressure, reduce the effects of trauma, reduce pain and more!
